Privacy notice and cookies
Last updated: November 4, 2026
We are a small studio and we want this to be easy to read: we don't use cookies, we don't sell data and we don't use advertising or third-party trackers (no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel). Here is everything we keep, why, and how to ask us to delete it.
1. Who is responsible
ULYZONE++, an independent game studio run by Alain Ulises Pérez Guzmán, based in Chetumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Contact for anything about your data: contacto@ulyzone.com.
2. What we collect and why
If you just visit the site
- Visit statistics, without cookies. We count page views, button clicks, how long a page is visible and how far you scroll. For that we keep: page, the site you came from, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, time zone and approximate region.
- We don't store your IP address. To tell whether two visits on the same day come from the same person we use a one-way fingerprint (IP and browser mixed with a secret key) that changes every day and can't identify you.
- You can turn these statistics off at any time with the Privacy preferences link at the bottom of every page.
If you leave us something
- Comments: your name, the text and, if you give it, your email (never published; only used to reply). Your name, text and date are published after review.
- Steam notification list: your email, and your name if you give it, to tell you when the game comes out. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Email and WhatsApp: if you write to us, we only use what you send to reply.
To prevent abuse (spam), comments and the notification list also keep a one-way fingerprint like the one above.
In the «Xibalbá: El Descenso» demo
- Anonymous player counter: when you open the game and when you start and finish each level, the demo sends a notice with a random install number (not linked to you or your computer), the version, operating system, language, path and level. It tells us how many people play and where they get stuck. Turn it off in Options → «Send anonymous statistics».
- «Send my run»: only if you press that button, the game sends a summary of your run (levels, time, deaths, difficulty, path) and, if you type them, a name and your review.
- The game keeps your save and settings on your own computer; they don't leave it.
3. Cookies and browser storage
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| uly_idioma | The language you chose | Until you delete it |
| uly_musica | Whether you want music on | Until you delete it |
| uly_ya | Whether you had visited before (for statistics) | Until you delete it |
| uly_aviso | Remembering you already joined the notification list | Until you delete it |
| uly_privacidad | Your choice in this notice (and whether you turned statistics off) | Until you delete it |
| wa_visto | Not repeating the WhatsApp bubble | Until you close the tab |
You can delete them in your browser settings («Clear site data»). Videos, fonts and images are served from our own server. The Facebook and WhatsApp buttons are plain links: nothing from those companies loads until you click them, and from then on their own policies apply.
4. Who we share it with
No one, for commercial purposes. The data lives on the server of the company that hosts this site, which only stores it for us. We would only hand it to an authority if the law required us to.
5. How long we keep it
- Site and demo statistics: up to 24 months, then only as totals.
- Comments: while they are published or until you ask us to delete them.
- Notification list: until you unsubscribe or until the game comes out and we tell you.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Write to contacto@ulyzone.com with the subject «Privacy», tell us what you want and which email or name you left with us. We answer within 20 business days. If you live in the European Union or elsewhere with its own laws, you can also contact your country's data protection authority.
7. Children
The site isn't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly ask them for data. If you think a child left us their email, write to us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes
If we change this notice, the date above changes and, if the change is important, we'll say so on the home page.
